Let’s face it Dad’s love gifts – they’re like kids trapped in an adult body. They find joy in opening up presents so I have come up with a Father’s Day gift guide that has gifts any Dad will love and use. Dad’s also like to spend time with their kids so why not take Dad out for a fun day he can remember for years to come. Below is a list of gift ideas and fun Father’s Day activities your Dad will love. It’s the ultimate Father’s Day gift guide!
Father’s Day Gift Ideas:
There are so many things you can do with Amazon Echo. My husband bought ours and he has connected it to our home lighting, plays music and acts as a shopping assistant. When I walk into my living room or bedroom I say “Alexa, turn on the light” and the light pops on! The newest member of the Alexa family is firetvcube. No need for a remote, just tell Alexa what you would like to watch on TV hands-free!
This is a great gift for Dad as he can sit outside by the pool listening to his favorite music or sports game. This one is waterproof and can be submerged in water.
Treat Dad by getting him this monthly grooming subscription box delivered straight to his door. Each box includes five grooming samples and a handpicked lifestyle item (tech gadget, bartending tool or stylish accessory).
Not only can Dad grill his favorite meats, he can smoke them! We bought a smoker and love it. We like to smoke ribs, brisket, and chicken. The meat always comes out so juicy with that nice smoky flavor. This grill is perfect because it allows you to do both!
This is a great gift not only for Dad but for anyone who has to share a bathroom with him! This beard trimmer catches up to 90% of cut hair, leaving you with a clean bathroom at the end.
Dad can now drink his favorite craft beers fresh on tap as he would at his favorite bar while he is at home or at a friend’s house. This growler keeps your craft beer fresh and carbonated for two weeks.
If your Dad likes to golf, get him this Golf Swing Trainer. It’s the perfect warm-up tool so he can develop better swings, build more power and correct bad habits.
If your Dad doesn’t already have wireless headphones, get him these ones from Beats by Dr. Dre. He can listen to his favorite music or sports station while he does his Dad chores like cutting the grass or splitting wood. If he works out, this will be a perfect tool for him to bring to the gym to keep him motivated while lifting weights or running on the treadmill.
Dad can now make his own iced coffee on the go! What makes this special is the 3 chambers – first put ice in the bottom, then put your hot coffee in the second chamber and the third chamber you’ll add more ice. This device chills hot coffee in just 60 seconds. He can also use this to chill his other favorite beverages like whiskey, beer or wine without diluting the drink.
What’s special about this cooler is that it keeps ice cold up to ten days! It’s built tough and perfect for Dad’s next weekend camping trip, fishing trip or Nascar race! The 65-quart cooler fits up to 64 cans. A side note, RTIC is $240 cheaper than the Yeti.
This is a great portable cooler that holds up to 16 cans plus ice. Perfect to take with you to a friend’s house or on a fishing/hunting trip.
Father’s Day Activities:
If you’re wondering where to take Dad on his special day, here is a list of activities you can find in just about any local area.
1. Top Golf –
Take Dad to Top Golf. There are now several locations within the United States. Players score points by hitting balls into any target. It’s fun for the whole family. Top Golf also has a restaurant and bar. As you’re playing your game a server will be assigned to you and you can order food and drinks. If you have any questions about the game, your server can help with that too.
2. Escape Room –
If your Dad loves solving puzzles, bring him to an escape room. You and your family are locked inside a room and work as a team to solve riddles. You’ll have one hour to unlock the room and free yourself.
3. Sky Zone –
Dad can be a kid again and jump on trampolines. Challenge Dad to the ultimate dodgeball competition or see who can jump higher and do the most slam-dunks in basketball.
If your Dad loves a good thrill bring him to iFly indoor skydiving. He will feel like he has wings as he sours through the air. Give him a thrill and have memories for a life time.
5. White Water Rafting –
If your Dad is an outdoor enthusiast why not take him for a day trip to go white water rafting. Pack him a lunch and some beers and he will have a blast floating down the river. There are plenty of places to go but if you’re from the NY/NJ area I recommend Indian Head Canoes. They offer rafting, canoeing, kayaking, and tubing. How it works is simple, drive to their office to check in, hop on one of their buses and they take you up the river where you will depart by your choice (raft, canoe, kayak or tube). You float back down the river to their office. They have 4 hour trips and 8 hour trips of your choice.
They have a couple locations in New Jersey, however, if you google you may find similar places in your local area. Dad can drink a beer and throw a hatchet. You can compete against each other to see who will hit the bullseye quicker. They offer a variety of hatchet throwing games and instructions on how to properly throw a hatchet.
7. Dig This Las Vegas –
Dad will hop in a Bobcat and dig dirt, crush cars, stack tires and play excavator basketball! If you are nowhere near Las Vegas, you might be able to find a similar company who does the same thing closer. This one is in New Jersey: Diggerland XL.
8. Xtreme Experience –
Bring Dad to an Extreme Experience location where he can drive his dream exotic car around a racetrack! They have multiple locations throughout the U.S. and are offering 30% Off Coupon for Father’s Day.
9. Beer Tasting –
If your Dad is in need of a much more relaxing Father’s Day, take him to a local brewery for beer tasting or a bar that serves over 100 craft beers on tap. If you’re near NYC, I recommend Taproom No. 307 Craft Beer Emporium. I’ve gone multiple times and the bartenders are good at giving samples before you commit to a fresh brew. They also serve food.
10. Comedy Show –
If your Dad has a good since of humor bring him to a local comedy club.
Hopefully, I have given you some fun gift ideas for your Dad on Father’s Day as well as places to take him. I hope you have a wonderful and joyful Father’s Day this year with many more to come!
