Winter has arrived in New Jersey. We’ve had some snow fall but only enough to make the sidewalks icy in spots. Temperatures have dropped as low as 3 degrees. It is so important to dress in layers and wear the right Winter footwear.
Normally, I don’t like to buy a lot of Winter gear because I prefer the warmer seasons but this year I splurged and bought Sperry Shearwater Duck Boots. The ones I am currently wearing are unfortunately out of stock because I bought them back in August during the annual Nordstrom sale. However, I found similar ones that are just as cute, and in more colors, linked at the bottom of this post.
Now that Winter is here, I have started to wear my boots out and around town. I’ve noticed that whether it rains or snows, they keep my feet warm and dry.
On Nordstrom, it says these boots run big and they suggest to size down. I bought these in my normal size 7.5 and they fit perfectly. They do fit a bit bigger but I personally like that. I prefer my toes have plenty of wiggle room for when I’m wearing thicker socks.
I like the fact that they zip up for easy on and easy off. You can tie them tighter with the laces if you choose. The soles have very good traction in icy weather. Just last weekend, it snowed and then we got freezing rain. The sidewalks were coated in ice. When I am wearing my Sperry boots, I noticed the traction is really good, even when my dogs were pulling on the leash.
These boots are really great quality and it’s an excellent Winter wardrobe must have. I’m sure these boots will last me for a very long time. I can tell this brand takes pride in making a high quality Winter boot.
Sperry boots are not only stylish but practical. This was my first pair and I absolutely love them! I will definitely buy more boots and shoes from them in the future. They also did not pay me to write this post. This was my honest review.
I’ve linked my favorite ones below.
